Welcome new MJM Member-Owner!
- MJM Electric is locally owned by Members and governed by an elected Board of Directors. This also means you have a voice in the operation of your Cooperative through your nine elected Board Directors. These Directors are nominated each year at the Annual Meeting and voted in by the Membership.
- MJM Electric is a not-for-profit; margins above and beyond the cost of doing business will be returned to you as Capital Credits when the Board of Directors determines it is financially feasible, and we meet the financial requirements stated in our loan documents.

The bill you receive has a billing period that runs from the first to the end of the month. The bill payment is due on the 15th. If you are on Prepaid Electric, you will need to monitor your credit balance on your account and make a payments before 2PM during regular business days when required.
- Payments can be made by: using the SmartHub App, at our website www.mjmec.coop (Bill Pay, top header link), Automated Phone System - 855-313-6314, Mail - P.O. Box 80, Carlinville, IL, 62626, in person at MJM's office - 18300 Shipman Road, Carlinville (drive thru window, dropbox, or lobby)
- We give Members the opportunity to track electricity use, enroll in outage alerts, sign up for paperless billing and pay electric bills on line with our SmartHub mobile and web app. SmartHub also allows you to set up for automatic payments to ensure a timely payment.
