Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO)

Did you know all cooperatives are guided by the same set of seven cooperative principles?

One of our principles is Concern for Community, while focusing on member needs, cooperatives work for the sustainable development of communities through policies and programs accepted by the members. One of the ways we support this principle is through being an investor of the Macoupin, Jersey, and Montgomery County CEO programs. Partnered with Wabash Valley Power Alliance, our combined Annual investment of $3,000 to each program provides the necessary resources for current-year teacher salary and other expenses, and ensures the sustainability of these programs for future students. Investor Commitments of site tours, being guest speakers and developing positive mentor relationships are critical to the success of the CEO.

2025 CEO Program

Where You Come In

The Macoupin and Montgomery CEO investors are the heart of CEO.  Their annual investment of $1,000 a year, for a minimum of three years, provides the necessary resources for teacher salary and other program expenses. Please join us by showing your financial support to these amazing programs!

Friends of CEO direct their donations of any amount and at any time to support student needs.

You know that the ins and outs of running a business cannot be taught from a textbook. Invite the CEO class into your organization to see what it is really like to take risks, capitalize on opportunities and analyze results

For periods of two to four weeks. During that time the CEO students and their instructor will meet at your site on each school day that they do not have a tour scheduled. Hosting requires a conference room with space to accommodate 20-30 people with internet access.

We are looking for practitioners to share real-life stories about the concepts of running a business, from strategic thinking and product development to marketing and cash flow management.

We need business and community leaders who can connect with the next generation and provide inspiration, motivation and advice.

You need not limit yourself to one role listed above. These opportunities are best combined for the greatest rewards to participants.
